Why I’m cycling 54 miles for Parkinson's UK
On Sunday 20 June 2027, I'll be taking on the London to Brighton Bike Ride to raise money for Parkinson's UK, a cause that's very close to my heart.
In the UK, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's every 20 minutes. It's the fastest-growing neurological condition, and there's still no cure. Parkinson's UK is the largest charitable funder of Parkinson's research in Europe, and it supports people living with the condition and their families every day.
Now, full disclosure: I'm not what you'd call a fitness person. My usual workout is walking to the fridge, and the most exercise I usually get is walking to work. So 54 miles is a big ask, and every donation is a bit of extra motivation to keep pedalling (and not flag down the support van).
Anything you can give makes a difference. Thank you for supporting me!
