Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Hi! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's.
I will be running this in memory of my Grandad Dave who sadly passed away in November 2025.
Grandad suffered with Parkinson’s for about 15 years and having seen how the disorder can affect someone I love so much, I want to help Parkinson’s UK in any way possible so they can continue to support people with Parkinson’s, fund research for better treatments and a cure, and campaign for improved care.
Grandad was a big family man and loved us all very much (almost as much as he loved Latics), supporting us in everything we wanted to do as we grew up so I know he would be really proud of me doing this and he’ll be cheering me on on the 4th of October!
