I am fundraising for Parkinson’s UK for my grandfather, Giovanni.
I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon 2027 to raise money for Parkinson’s UK in honour of my grandfather, Giovanni, who lives with Parkinson’s disease.
My grandparents have always been like second parents to me. Growing up, they gave me so much love, stability, and care, and they still mean the world to me today. Living abroad now means I do not get to see them as often as I would like, and every visit home is a reminder of how much Parkinson’s has changed not only my grandpa’s life, but the lives of everyone who loves him.
I try to make the most of every moment we have together. This run is my way of turning that love, gratitude, and sometimes helplessness into something positive by raising funds for research and support that can make a real difference.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund vital research, treatment, and support services for people living with Parkinson’s, as well as for the families and loved ones who care for them every day.
