Peter Thompson (1943-2025) - family man, lifelong athelete and the best possible Grandad ❤️
I am raising money for Parkinson’s UK to support a charity that made the final years of my Grandpa — Peter Thompson — more comfortable and pain‑free, allowing him to spend precious time with the family he loved so dearly. Peter was an athlete all his life, and it was heartbreaking to see him forced to give up so many of his passions because of this unrelenting disease.
He supported me throughout my own running journey, from battling through early 5ks to supporting me on as I finished my first marathon in 2024. I hope I can make him proud in the 2027 London Marathon and raise money for others — and their loved ones — who are facing this cruel, unforgiving disease.
