Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK


I am running the Rome Marathon on the 22nd March 2026, to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK in memory of my father, Creighton Hutchinson, who passed away in 2021. Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in his early 50s after years of unexplained symptoms. Despite medication, his condition progressed, bringing severe tremors and affecting both his independence and wellbeing. True to his character, he faced the disease with resilience and determination, continuing to live life fully for as long as he could. Parkinson’s is a cruel and progressive condition that impacts not only those diagnosed, but their families too. By supporting this run, you’ll be helping to fund vital research, improve treatments, and support others living with Parkinson’s — so future families may face it with greater hope. Thank you.
