Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

This charity means a lot for me and my family. With loosing Grandad in 2020 who had Parkinson’s and my Uncle recently being diagnosed with Parkinson’s aswell as my Husbands Uncle. It’s a great opportunity for me to show support for Parkinson’s Uk to help raise money into finding breakthroughs and help and support in the Parkinson’s community that won’t just help my family but so many others that are effected.
I will be so grateful to anyone who can help support me as I run my first half marathon for Parkinson’s Uk

Running for my Grandad and uncle
Saturday 14th Mar I started running in 2021 after being invited to do my first park run I felt so proud of my self building up to running a 5k and was surprised when I was able to run further. This is something I never thought I would achieve being asthmatic. When I decided I wanted to run the London half marathon when I saw I had the chance to raise money for Parkinson’s I knew this was the charity I wanted to support. In 2007 my grandad got diagnosed with Parkinsons it was a slow decline for him but in 2019 he needed to move into a care home. Sadly Covid hit and our family was no longer able to visit him. It wasn’t long till grandad passed away made even more heartbreaking that as a family we never got the chance to be with him and his funeral was very restricted. Since then my uncle has also been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and my husbands uncle also. I’m so happy that I can do something to help and raise money for Parkinson’s THankyou to everyone who is able to donate it means so much to me , my family and the Parkinson’s community ShareThank you to my sponsors
