BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

This year, my lovely Mam was diagnosed with Parkinson’s — news that’s been tough to digest after she already kicked into touch kidney cancer and a few other health hurdles.

It’s inspired me to do something positive (and slightly mad!) in her honour. So, on June 21st 2026, I’ll be cycling 55 miles from London to Brighton — despite not having been on a bike for about 25 years!

I’m taking on this challenge as part of a brilliant team of mums called “Wheelie Tired Mums” — and the name couldn’t be more accurate. Between juggling work, family, and everything else life throws our way, we’re not exactly Tour de France material, but we’re gearing up for a good cause. We’re pedalling with purpose! Every mile is to raise vital funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research and support services, helping people like my Mam live well with the condition.

If you’re able to donate, cheer us on, or just share our story, it would mean the world. Here’s to every “wheelie tired” moment being worth it — one pedal at a time! 💙🚴‍♀️
