Running for Dad: 26.2 Miles for Parkinson’s UK, Saturday 24 April 2027

In July 2025, our dad, Matthew, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Seeing someone so central to our lives face a progressive condition has been incredibly tough - so my little (BIG) brother and I are turning our feelings of helplessness into action.
We’re taking on the 2027 London Marathon for our old man.
We’ve always been an active family, and sport has always been at the heart of our relationship with Dad. Whether it's me playing netball,  Harry playing rugby, Mum swimming, or Dad playing golf (whilst his Parkinson's allows), sport is what connects us. Dad was always our biggest supporter: driving us to late night training sessions, physio appointments, cheering from the sidelines, and giving us post-match tactical debriefs on the drive home.
Running 26.2 miles together is our way of honoring Dad's resilience. We’re raising funds for Parkinson’s UK to support vital research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. We want to help protect Dad’s independence so he can keep doing what he loves, while ensuring other families don't have to watch their loved ones face this journey alone.
Thank you so much for your support!
