Why I am taking part in the Parkinson's walk100 miles event
I’m taking part in Walk for Parkinson’s 100 Mile Challenge to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.
I'm uniting with thousands of others, all passionate about improving life for people with Parkinson’s.My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's 7 years ago and dementia 5 years ago,so in a way I am walking for 2 conditions to find a cure for these awful illnesses.

Sunday 31st May Hi all Well it's all come to an end for another year. I have certainly enjoyed it and everyone has done well. My actual last walk was a short evening one with my wife. I did two longer ones 3 miles this morning and 6 this afternoon with my daughter and her two dogs. It has been a wonderful experience and I hope that applies to everyone else I would not have been able to do this without the help of the carers. May I also take this opportunity to thank all those who sponsored me,(and donations can be made for the next few weeks) If it only makes a small difference we can all say We Did That . Sunday 31st May Hello All.Did just under 3.5 miles this morning,and off for a 2 hour walk this afternoon with our eldest daughter..Hopefully she will have recovered from the "Take That" concert last night.On 193 miles now,so 200 is within my reach. I know this has been said this before,but i will say again ,well done to all taking part. we have all done fantastically well. Maybe we can all do it again next year and raise more money. Share

Monday 18th May Hello all Only 4 miles today in two walks. Had to get the car serviced.Hopefully get some more walks in tomorrow, possibly round the Priory.Everyone is doing well and still just under two weeks to go. Share

Saturday 16th May Hi all. Just done 2 miles with my wife. It took us a while as we stopped for a cup of tea along the way. Got back just before it started to rain. Only 51 to go. Onwards and upwards. Well done to all . Share
