Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
On Sunday, 11 October 2026, I’ll take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon, running 13.1 miles to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK and support its work helping families and driving research towards a cure.
As this is my first half marathon, the challenge feels even bigger. After a strong start, the hot summer and a few too many evenings in the beer garden have made training harder and left me behind schedule.
This cause is personal to me, as a close friend has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Seeing their journey has shown me the daily physical and mental challenges the condition brings, so any support towards ground-breaking research and life-changing help for families affected by Parkinson’s would mean a great deal.

Thank you for any donation you can make. I’m truly grateful, and your support will give me even more motivation to complete the race.
