Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Our whole family is coming together to take on a special challenge for Parkinson's UK.Â
We are walking 1.5 miles alongside our amazing dad / nana-ji. From his children and grandchildren to his favourite grand-dog, Ladoo, we are all stepping up to support him.
Every step of this 1.5-mile walk represents the daily challenges, resilience, and strength dad shows as he navigates this progressive neurological condition. Parkinson’s affects movement, balance, and energy, making everyday tasks a battle.Â
This walk is our family’s way of fighting back, showing him our unconditional love, and bringing hope to everyone affected by the condition.
This walk is also our way of celebrating Mum's fierce devotion to dad, providing endless patience, love and care that this progressive condition demands, and ensuring that carers like her get the vital support and resources they need, too.
Right now, there is no cure for Parkinson's. But Parkinson's UK is working tirelessly to change that. They fund groundbreaking research, provide expert nurses, and offer local support to families like ours when they need it most.
Your donation will help us reach our goal and fund this life-changing work:
ÂŁ20 helps fund the Parkinson's UK helpline, providing immediate expert advice.
ÂŁ50 can fund a local support group session to help families connect and cope.
ÂŁ150 can pay for a day of research to bring us closer to a cure.
Please donate whatever you can to support our family walk. Your generosity means everything to us, and the 153,000 people living with Parkinson's in the UK.
Thank you so much from all of us!
