My grandad lived with Parkinson’s, and sadly passed away on Christmas Day 2020. Watching him face the challenges of this condition showed me just how tough Parkinson’s can be — not only for those diagnosed, but also for their loved ones.

There’s still no cure, but organisations like Parkinson’s UK are working tirelessly to change that. They fund vital research into better treatments and, one day, a cure. They also provide crucial support to families like mine, helping them through difficult times.

I am running the Hackney Half in 2026 for Parkinson's - this is my way of keeping his memory alive while helping others who are living with Parkinson’s today.
