Parkinson'S UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support!
My Mum lived with the debilitating effects of Parkinson's for over 20 years, as it gradually shrank her world. She showed remarkable fortitude and spirit to live life as fully as her body and mind allowed, but the psychological and physical distress caused by this currently incurable disease is profound, and the impact on the family as a whole was also considerable. As the burden of care became a constant, requiring round the clock attentiveness, our dad needed to put his own life on hold, for many years.
Organisations like Parkinson's UK are vital to the furthering of research, understanding and the provision of support, including support to carers, who in many ways are just as in need of it as the Parkinson's sufferers themselves. If you can help me to help Parkinson's UK in any way, I would be extremely grateful.
Parkinson's UK believes that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all they're working for. They campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.
Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.
