Hi I'm Nick and I'm up for the challenge! London 2026 here we come!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the TCS 2026 London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
This is my first marathon. I started a ‘couch to 5k’ back in April 2019 and been doing regular runs to date! This is my first Marathon, not even done an organised half marathon before! So, this run will not be pretty! my preference for exercise is either a road bike ride or we have some great gravel tracks in Essex over airfields and forests for a mountain bike ride. I’ve previously completed the London to Brighton on a gravel ride route with a friend which was my first ‘bucket list’ item!
The marathon is another bucket list item that is very much now or never as I’m in my early 50’s! training was halted in autumn last year with a 5th metatarsal break running across a nearby airfield in the damp! So I’ve been on the catch up little with my training plan. Running in the dark & wet of winter is something other runners will understand, not pleasurable. Running on a bright morning with some great music in your ears is a whole different experience
Thank you to my sponsors

Having run 6 x half marathons and never fancied turning around at the end I appreciate the effort and training /dedication required. £1 a mile seems small fish but well done and hope everything goes well on the day..

I am aware how tough the training is, let alone the actual run. Just make sure you tie your laces properly!
