Running the Oxford Half for my grandpa, Babar
I’m taking part in the Oxford Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK. I am running the half for my Grandpa, Babar, who has been suffering with this disease for many years. Babar is the most amazing husband to my granny, father to 6 children and grandpa to 22 grandchildren, who have all seen how the disease has gradually made everyday things that were once simple and natural much harder for him. I, and everyone else in our family have seen first-hand the impact it has had on his life.
I definitely wouldn't call myself a runner, but I am completing this half marathon with my friends Lucy and Flossy - hopefully making it a bit easier!! to raise awareness about such a horrible disease, and show my love and support for such an amazing person.
