Parkinsonās Walk 2026- For Mum
Saturday 18th Jul As many of you know, mum passed away from Parkinsonās disease. Iāve always wanted to raise money for Parkinsonās UK, but mum felt so uncomfortable with her diagnosis, it was difficult to do events in her name. So I am now doing it, along with Erin and Isla, in her memory. Parkinsonās turned mumsā and our world upside down. Biggest struggle was engaging with healthcare professions when things didnāt seem to be right. As nurses ourselves, but me and mum we too were not very familiar with multitude of symptoms that fall under the Parkinsonās umbrella. I called upon Parkinsonās UK a couple of times for support and advice, but with any charity, they have to spread their resources far and wide as Parkinsonās disease is now affecting more and more people.ĀThank you to my sponsors
