Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I'm running the Brighton Marathon in April 2025 raising money for Parkinson’s UK
My mum was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. She’s approached her diagnosis like a real badass. She’s taught me a lot about how to face life when it throws you a challenge, with humour and energy. For that, I’m in awe and forever grateful for ♥️
Something she’s found helpful is the holistic care available for Parkinson's - there’s so much information, classes, stuff that considers your whole life and body not just your symptoms (shout out for the wonderful ALEX group in Bollington). I swear, you can’t catch her these days as she’s off out to a social or sports class.
So I want to raise money to keep these amazing services going. I’d be grateful for anything you can give, even if it’s just the time reading this and the Parkinson’s UK website so you can spread the word that support is out there for anyone who needs it, it really works x
