Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 12th April, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK in honour of my grandad, Billy, who has been living with Parkinson’s for 18 years.
Parkinson’s is a condition that affects everyone differently, and its cause remains largely unknown. There is currently no cure.
In England alone, around 139,000 people are living with Parkinson’s. It was estimated that, in 2025, approximately 28,000 people across the UK were diagnosed, meaning someone receives a diagnosis every 20 minutes. By 2030, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in the UK is expected to rise to 173,000.
This is why fundraising for Parkinson’s UK is so important. The charity funds vital research, works towards better treatments, and provides essential support for people living with Parkinson’s and their families — including families like mine.
If you’re able to sponsor my run, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference.
Thank you so much for your support 💙
