Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
In 2021, we received news that dad my dad has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, having been given both a primary and secondary opinion. This news did not come lightly, and it was something that wasn’t easy to come to terms with.
Parkinson’s UK helped me understand the disease more, both in general and how it would affect my dad going forward. My dad is one of the many people, in which Parkinson’s UK continue to support every day.
Whilst this disease has changed a lot in my dad’s life, he continues to take each day as it comes, and he does it with a positive attitude and a smile. My dad is no different from the man he was before his diagnosis.
I am so excited to be taking part in this half marathon, especially being my first one ever. I’m excited to help make a difference, and to help raise money for an incredible charity who help people like my dad.
So please help by sponsoring me, with whatever you can. Any and all donations are appreciated!
Thank you😄
