Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Piloting a functional, healthy body that responds to your needs and desires without question is a gift we take for granted in youth.  My grandfather John knew this better than anyone - from the strength and stamina of a tennis champion, to the stomach-aching laughs he could draw from friends and strangers alike, to the love and affection he showered on my nana. Parkinson's took all this, and him, from us far too soon. When it came to picking a cause for my first half-marathon, I couldn't think of anything more worthy than to run these 13.2 miles for him.
