Brighton Marathon 2025

Hey! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

On 6th April 2025, I will be running the Brighton Marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects the brain over time. It causes a range of symptoms, including tremors, stiffness and difficulty with movement. Sadly, it is a condition that worsens as time goes on, and there is currently no cure.

This cause is particularly important as my lovely nan has Parkinson’s disease. Watching her face the daily challenges of this condition has been hard, but her resilience and strength inspires me every day. 

Parkinson’s UK is an incredible charity dedicated to supporting people who live with Parkinson’s, their families and carers. As well as funding groundbreaking research to understand the disease and work out a cure. They also raise awareness to reduce stigma and promote understanding and advocate for better policies and support for those affected. They empower individuals, build a strong sense of community and drive forward vital research with the ultimate goal of beating Parkinson’s for good.

Running has become a huge part of my life over the last few years and it is something I really enjoy. I love that every run pushes me out of my comfort zone, and this marathon is the biggest challenge I have set myself yet. I began intensive training around 6 weeks ago and I will be sharing updates on my progress to keep you all updated and myself motivated!

I am aiming to raise £500 for this great charity and it would mean the world if you could donate, no matter how big or small, to help Parkinson’s UK continue their vital work.
