Marcus’ 2027 London Marathon Fundraising
I am taking part in the London Marathon 2027 to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, a charity that means a great deal to me and my family.
Parkinson’s is a life-changing disease which impacts millions of people worldwide, having devastating effects on the patient as well as those around them. It is a neurological condition which impacts a persons motor skills, independence and daily life.
This cause became deeply personal to me since my grandad’s diagnosis in 2016. Watching his journey and seeing the challenges he’s faced, along with the impact it has had on our whole family, has inspired me to take on this incredible challenge.
Parkinson’s UK provides vital support to people living with Parkinson’s and their families. They campaign to ensure everyone affected receives the care and support they deserve and fund groundbreaking research to improve treatments and work towards a cure.
