This challenge is deeply personal. Watching someone you love navigate Parkinson’s is heartbreaking. It is a relentless, unpredictable, and complex condition that chips away at the everyday things so many of us take for granted—from mobility and independence to the simple joy of an easy day. Seeing my Mum’s strength while facing this awful disease has shown me what real resilience looks like, and she is the reason I am tying up my laces.
No one should have to walk this path unsupported. Parkinson’s UK does incredible work—not only funding pioneering research to find better treatments and an ultimate cure, but also providing a lifeline of direct support, specialist nurses, and advice to families when they need it most.
Every mile along the Southsea seafront is dedicated to my Mum and the thousands of families fighting this battle every day.
If you’re able to spare anything at all to sponsor me, it would mean the world. Every single pound will push me across the finish line and directly help make life better for those living with Parkinson's.
Best of luck Malc Love the Lloyds
