Manchester Marathon 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m running Manchester Marathon on 19 April for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support.

Parkinson's UK is a charity that I have had the privilege of interacting with through my work. Parkinson’s UK not only funds groundbreaking research, but also provides vital resources, community support, and hope to people living with Parkinson’s and their families. This is something I have seen first hand over the past few years.

One thing I have found particularly eye-opening since starting this job is that almost every person I speak to about it responds with a personal link that they have to Parkinson's. I guess this isn't surprising, as Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. In fact, in the UK it is estimated that someone is diagnosed every 20 minutes (and that doesn't even account for those without formal diagnosis).

Please help by sponsoring my challenge. All money raised will help Parkinson's UK continue their wonderful work in supporting the Parkinson's community.
