Individual UK Runs 2026

Luke's mission for Parkinson’s

In May 2026 I will be taking on my first marathon, and it's one that's been on my bucket list - the Leeds Marathon. I will be running in aid of Parkinson's UK, because my dad has recently been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's... and I intend to go about it the way Kevin Sinfield has with MND, letting him know he won't suffer on his own and raise the profile as much as possible.

Parkinson’s is a condition that affects the brain, causing a wide range of symptoms... including tremors & stiffness/rigidity which sadly gets worse through time.

Treatment includes medication (which slows down progress), and therapy for movements. However there's no cure for Parkinson’s, and I believe (with the necessary support) we can raise as much awareness as possible to help find and fund a cure for Parkinson’s.

That’s why I’m fundraising for Parkinson’s UK.

Physical training and word of thanks

Sunday 31st Aug
Even though it is over 8 months until the event itself, I intend to start training w/c 10th November (allowing myself 6 months to be ready for race day).

I cannot thank enough those who have kindly donated already, it means so much to me and my family.

Thank you to my sponsors
