Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the TCS 2025 London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK because I want to contribute to the huge impact I have seen the charity have on its community. When I joined the charity I had no personal connection to the condition and little to no knowledge about it. However, since then I have had frequent interactions with volunteers from our community where I have listened to their experiences with their diagnosis, day-to-day management of the condition and the initiatives they do through the charity. Their stories are truly inspiring and I have learnt from them that although they have Parkinson’s they are always willing to share their knowledge and fight every day to live the lives they want.
Since everybody experiences Parkinson’s differently then I think it is important that we continue to fund and support different initiatives that improve the lives of the Parkinson's community. I hope that through my London Marathon efforts I can smash my fundraising target and that money can be used to find the next ground-breaking treatment or continue to fund services we provide to our community.
