Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for taking time to come to my page. I am going to be running the London Marathon this year 2025 for Parkinson’s UK. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s last year. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s been a shock. But the kindness and support from my family, friends and the Parkinson’s UK team has spurred me on. Having never run more than 5 miles this is going to be an ask. But I need to prove to myself I can still make it. Thanks for your support!!

London marathon finisher!!!
Saturday 3rd May did it! I live! Just! So hot and funnily enough a very long way. But I finished. Thank you to Team Parkinson’s UK for letting me run for them. An amazing charity who have been so supportive. And thank you to all for your generous sponsorship. It was an amazing experience. Made even more special by my family and friends who raced round the course to shout me on. You were all epic and everywhere and it meant so much to me. Couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you! Friday 25th Apr So it’s really happening. Collected my bib on Wednesday from the Excel London Marathon event. Exciting and very scary. Felt a bit of an imposter surrounded by all these serious runners!! Share
Last long run done!
Sunday 20th Apr Managed almost 17 miles last week! So that last 9 miles is going to be a step into the unknown. Currently held together by double sided sticky tape and by my lovely friend and chiro Laura, physio from Megan and massages by Aska! So with all this help and all my generous donors I will make it round next Sunday!! Thanks for all your support xx Share
London Landmark Half marathon
Monday 7th Apr Made it round the London landmark half marathon yesterday. Couldn’t have done it without my daughter Niamh. We were both running for Parkinson’s Uk. Amazing atmosphere. Lots of supporter s cheering us on. The London marathon is twice distance and no niamh to spur me on. But I will make it round!
Over 12 miles!
Saturday 22nd Feb OMG a long way and that’s not even half a marathon! Just keep following the plan! Share

Tuesday 18th Feb Managed to drag myself over 10 miles this weekend! Something I thought impossible a couple of weeks ago. Going for 12 miles next. Share
