60 years young, and a good reason to run!
I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11th October to raise money for Parkinson's UK, inspired by my husband Sean, who was diagnosed in 2019. He has taken it on with huge amounts of grace and good humour, and continues to give his time to helping other people (with and without Parkinson's), which I find endlessly impressive. Rather than narrowing his world, the diagnosis has, in many ways, made it more meaningful. He turns 60 this year (about a week before the run), and it feels like a good moment to mark that - not just by celebrating him, but by supporting a charity doing vital work for people living with Parkinson's.
