Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Hat and Home Spinnaker Tower Abseil for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
We’re Parkinson’s UK. The charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way. Wherever you’re from, whatever you need.
We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. We believe that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all we’re working for. We campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.
Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.

Abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower!!!!!
Wednesday 22nd Apr Hey guys!I’m going to be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on the 12th of July to raise awareness for Parkinson’s.
With 166,000 people diagnosed in the UK and another person diagnosed every 20 minutes. This is a cause we should all be supporting to help the people currently suffering and to hopefully provide a cure in the future!
As you may or may not know, I work for Hat and Home, and have done for 3 years. Ben Gee, the owner of the company was diagnosed a few years ago and since starting at the company have witnessed the horrendous effects this disease has on Ben which is heart breaking. It has now become more apparent how popular the disease is and unfortunately in the last 3 years have been made aware of close friends and family that have been diagnosed or lost their lives from Parkinson’s.
I’ve already jumped out of plane so why not abseil down a 170 meter building?!!
I am doing this for Ben and his family and all the other people who have lost loved ones or struggling with this disease.
I’d be forever grateful for any donations - big or small, every single penny counts! 💙💙
