An amazing gentlemen close to our hearts and loved by so many. Your chuckling at the cracker jokes is already missed, but there will always be a glass of whiskey at ours ready for you.
To support others with Parkinson’s his wife, Jean and their family are collecting donations for Parkinson’s UK in lieu of flowers.
Having nursed many with Parkinson’s while seeing the devastating impact on those I know personally, I feel blessed to have my health, the ability to be active, and to run.
This year I am running Llanelli half marathon, a personal achievement for myself after not being able to run this distance since 2013 following a car accident. So what better way to celebrate both Philip’s memory and this achievement by combing the two and supporting the family (with Jean’s consent) in raising money for this amazing charity.
Parkinson’s is a complex brain condition that has no cure and gets worse over time. It has more than 40 symptoms, from tremor and pain to anxiety. And Parkinson's is on the rise. Someone is diagnosed every 20 minutes in the UK today. By 2050, the number of people with Parkinson’s worldwide will double to 25 million.
