Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Hackney Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support! 

I am supporting Parkinson's UK in loving memory of my grandfather Ragnar Johansson who passed away in 2012 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was a kind, caring, energetic soul who brought light and laughter into the lives of anyone he met. He loved his family more than anything and he was one of the many incredible people in my life who taught me from a young age that I can do anything I set my mind to. I have never been much of a runner, so completing the Hackney Half will be a testament to that mindset, and I hope to make him proud. 

My grandpa lived with Parkinson's for most of my life, and I've seen first hand the devastating effect it has on people. It is a cruel disease and there is currently no cure. Organizations such as Parkinson's UK are working tirelessly to support the advancement of new treatments and therapies to help better the lives of those living with the disease.
