Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Sunday 25 April and would really appreciate your support!
On Sunday, 25th April 2027, I will be running the London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK. At the start of 2026, my partner and her family lost her grandad, Richard, someone who had suffered with Parkinson’s. The local Parkinson’s group had given so much to help both Richard and his wife, Linda. They regularly attended weekly events and group activities with the Parkinson’s group as part of their community.
To this day, Linda is still heavily involved with the group, regularly attending events and continuing to support the group and the friends she made during her time there with Richard.
I’m running this marathon in honour of Richard and to give back to the Parkinson’s group that had helped him so much.
