Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page! I'm excited to share that I'm taking part in the TCS 2025 London Marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I would be deeply grateful for any support you can provide. Whether big or small, your contribution will help fund groundbreaking research and bring hope to the Parkinson's community.

My motivation to fundraise for Parkinson's UK is deeply personal and heartfelt. My nan has been battling Parkinson's for over a decade, and in recent years, her condition has significantly worsened. Despite the immense challenges she faces daily, she remains a source of inspiration and strength for our family.

Running has always been a passion of mine, and my nan has been my biggest cheerleader. She loves watching me run and frequently asks if I will ever run a marathon. I know it would bring her immense joy and pride to see me achieve this goal, especially knowing that I'm doing it to support a cause that affects her so deeply. By raising money for Parkinson's UK, I want to honour her unwavering spirit and the incredible courage she shows every day.

This marathon is more than just a race for me; it’s a tribute to my nan and a way to contribute to the fight against a disease that affects so many lives. Parkinson's UK provides vital support and funds groundbreaking research aimed at improving the quality of life for those living with Parkinson's. By reaching my fundraising target, I hope to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by this disease and to spread awareness about its impact.

Completing this marathon and raising funds for Parkinson's UK while my nan can still witness it would be an indescribable moment of pride and fulfilment for both of us. I am determined to channel my passion for running into a meaningful effort that supports my nan and the many others facing Parkinson's.

Please consider sponsoring me with whatever you can. Together, we can help fund vital research and change the lives of those in the Parkinson's community.

Thank you for your support!
