Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
May 2026, I’m taking on the Edinburgh Half Marathon in honour of my amazing uncle, who lives with Parkinson’s. Watching someone you love face the daily challenges of this condition is incredibly hard — but it’s also shown me what true strength, courage and resilience look like.
I’m running to raise awareness and vital funds for Parkinson’s UK, a charity that supports those living with the condition and funds research to find better treatments — and ultimately, a cure. Every step I take is for my uncle and for the thousands of others and their families affected by Parkinson’s.
