Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
While I’m running the marathon as the next step in my running journey — after completing four half marathons — I wanted to use this challenge to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
Those who know me will know that my wonderful Grandad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s several years ago and has been receiving treatment ever since. Thanks to research and the generosity of donors, he’s been able to access treatment that has helped slow the progression of the condition and allowed him to keep so much of his independence.
My Grandad is one of the most important people in my life — and my forever cheerleader — so being able to do something for him, and for others living with Parkinson’s, means the world to me.
If you’re able to, please consider sponsoring my challenge. Every donation helps fund vital research and provides support to the Parkinson’s community.
Thank you so much for any support 💙
