Running the Great South Run and Fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I'm fundraising for Parkinson's UK by running the Great South Run because I want to make a difference for those affected by this condition.
I started running about a year ago as a way to stay fit, and over time, it became a passion of mine. Now, I’m excited to take on this new challenge of running a 10-mile race, and I couldn't think of a better way to do it than by supporting a great charity such as Parkinson's UK.
This cause means a lot to me, and I hope that through this effort, I can help raise awareness and contribute to the important work they do.
This is the biggest running challenge I’ve taken on so far, but I’m excited about it. It’s not just about crossing the finish line—it’s about using my running to make a difference. The money I raise will go toward crucial work in improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s, and knowing that motivates me every step of the way.
My updates
Less than two weeks to go!
Tuesday 8th OctThe training in the past few weeks has been tough at times, but also incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned so much and with the finish line so close, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. But mostly, I’m just really looking forward to the race and everything it represents for me.
With next Sunday just around the corner, now is the perfect time to remind everyone how important your support is. If you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time! Every single contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making a real difference in the lives of those living with Parkinson’s and their families.
If you can, please donate and support! Your generosity means the world to me, and it gives me even more motivation to keep going. I can’t wait to take on this challenge and cross that finish line!
