Why I am running the Manchester half marathon
Monday 18th May In April 2026 after a long wait my mum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.Although expected it was still a shock.
This is just the start of my mums journey & our journey as a family to support her but we most certainly couldn’t do it with out the support of the specialist nurses who have already been a godsend and the campaign this fundraising goes to is to enable the nurses to support families and patients.
I have found running is really helping me mentally and with some trail races coming up from 10k - 1/2 marathon trails I thought I’d set my self a goal of the marathon for 2027 so here goes let’s raise awareness and support those who have been diagnosed & their families.
