I'm taking on a Half Marathon (Couldn't get a place for the BIG one) to raise money for Parkinson's UK, a charity that is very close to my heart.
If you know me, you'll know this is no small challenge. I haven't been for a proper run or exercised in over 10 years, and "athlete" is definitely not a word anyone would use to describe me!
The reason I'm doing this is much more important than the running itself. Parkinson's has affected our family personally, as my Dad lives with the condition. Seeing the challenges that Parkinson's brings has given me the motivation to step out of my comfort zone and do something meaningful to support those living with it every day.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Parkinson's UK continue its incredible work supporting people affected by Parkinson's and funding vital research. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and for helping me turn some very sore legs into something positive!
