Why I'm fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking part in Walk for Parkinson’s 100 Mile Challenge to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.
My husband, James, was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's just under three years ago at the age of just 39. He'd already had symptoms for a good years three years by this point. He finds it difficult at times but his Parkinson's nurses have been brilliant.
I'm walking in his name.

A week to go...
Thursday 21st May ...and 30 miles left to walk. That's doable, great for my mental health, and as James often goes with me, it's good for helping his symptoms too!
And so we begin...
Friday 1st May ...and I'm popular with the bonus daughter, having dragged her away from her book and out for a quick(ISH) few miles after tea 😂. Still, I've got the ball rolling, raised a load of money before I've even started, and I found getting started easier than last year so win win!Thank you to my sponsors

Good luck on the walking. Very worthy cause. (From a Western Thunderer and a fellow railwayman.)
