Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Your mum, son or friend. Anyone can get Parkinson’s, young or old. Every hour, two more people are diagnosed.
I have chosen this charity as part of my fundraiser for the London Marathon in memory of my Grandad.
Unfortunately, he sadly passed away over a year ago now and having not been very well for some time, he sadly was diagnosed with Parkinson’s for the later years of his life.
Being such a creative person it was hard for him to slowly stop his hobby, creating and making things using wood, which he was exceptionally talented and skilled at. But, due to his diagnoses he had to stop.
I want to be able to give back to the charity who helped my grandad so much and for me to be able to raise anything I can for this charity in aid and in memory or someone so dear to us would be such a rewarding and fulfilling achievement
That’s why I’m fundraising for Parkinson’s UK. With your help we can fund better care, drive research breakthroughs and one day find a cure.
