Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Brighton Marathon 2026 for Parkinson's UK! I'll be running the Brighton Marathon in April 2026 as part of Team Parkinson's to help us all reach a future without Parkinson's.
Parkinson’s has had a profound impact on my family. My Uncle, who is living with the condition, was once an incredibly active man. He sailed around the world, climbed mountains, rode horses, and loved mountain biking.
For his family to see someone who was so full of life lose their independence and mobility has been deeply painful.
I’d like to stand by him, and to support others who are also affected by this disease, by fundraising for Parkinson’s UK.
Although I have ran recreationally on and off for a few years, I have never completed a marathon. I know this will be a huge challenge to me: both the training and the event itself.
Please help me by sponsoring whatever you can towards my target. Every penny will keep me motivated and all money raised will go directly to funding Parkinson's UK.
