Great North Run 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

In 2026 I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for Parkinson's UK. In 2019, when I was 14 years old, my Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Over the past 6 years I've seen the ways the disease have changed and impacted not only his life, but those around him.

Thanks to Parkinson's UK, there is an array of support that is available to Parkinson's patients and their families.  They make it easier to navigate a diagnosis of Parkinson's that can be life changing.

Since my Dad's diagnosis, I have started my journey to becoming a doctor. I am now a 4th year medical student and have had the privilege of working with various Parkinson's patients to better understand the impact the disease has.

Any donation helps to support the amazing work that Parkinson's UK do across the country, to help families like mine access the support they deserve!
