Liverpool Walk for Parkinsonā€™s 2026

Monday 6th Jul
Ā On Saturday 18th July me and Paul are taking part in the Liverpool Walk for Parkinsonā€™s. Our Dad at 87 has been bravely living with Parkinsonā€™s for the last 7 years, together with our marvellous Mum who cares for him around the clock.Ā 
All money raised from walks across the country is going towards helping Parkinsonā€™s UK reach theirĀ Ā£9 million Nurse Appeal target. This will fund a package including :Ā 
25 new Parkinsonā€™s specialist nurses
30 allied health professionals (physiotherapists, OTs, speech and language therapists and mental health specialists)
6 clinical fellowships to train future Parkinsonā€™s specialistsĀ 
Additional education and training for healthcare professionals. Ā All of these are desperately needed across the country but especially in the North West of England.Ā
