Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
My husband, Paul Smith, was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2004 and we lived with it for 22 years. He loved his daughters and dogs, he was loyal and loving to his friends and family. We walked for his fitness every day. In 2017 he had a DBS implant which improved his Parkinsons symptoms, something we were always grateful for.
I’m walking to raise money to help fund research into Parkinsons, to improve treatment and medication, to develop ways to halt the decline and perhaps find a cure.
