Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
This time last year I started running, partly because we were about to have Isla and I’d just stopped smoking. It also came at a time when I probably needed something positive and consistent to focus on, and since then I’ve somehow stuck with it.
This will be my second half marathon, and this time I’m running for Parkinson’s.
My late grandad lived with Parkinson’s, and I saw first-hand how degenerative the disease can be — not just for the person living with it, but for the whole family around them.
I’m raising money to support better treatment, care and outcomes for people affected by Parkinson’s in the future.
Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
