Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
On Saturday 24 April 2027, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon and I’ll be running for a reason that is very close to home.
I’m incredibly proud to be running for Parkinson’s UK, a cause that means a huge amount to me and my family. Kay’s dad is living with Parkinson’s, so we’ve seen first-hand the impact the condition can have on individuals and the families around them. Sadly, my late uncle Stephen also battled Parkinson’s, making this fundraising journey even more personal.
The training, the early mornings, the long runs and, ultimately, those 26.2 miles will all have a purpose beyond simply chasing a time.
I want to raise as much money as possible to support Parkinson’s UK, helping fund vital research, support people living with Parkinson’s and work towards a future where no family has to experience the impact of this condition.
So, here we go… London 2027! 🏃♂️💙
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean a huge amount to me and will help keep me motivated when the training gets tough.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Parkinson’s UK, and helping me run this one for Kay’s dad and for my uncle Stephen. ❤️
Good luck! Wishing you and your family all the best! 🙏
