Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
On 11 October, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Parkinson's UK.
Parkinson's UK does two incredibly important things: it funds research into this devastating condition while also providing practical support to people living with Parkinson's and their families. We've seen first-hand how valuable that support can be.
It feels fitting to run for a charity that helps people facing a physically debilitating condition. We should test ourselves and push our bodies while we're fortunate enough to be able to. So, in the grand scheme of things, a scenic 13.1-mile route through London's parks is a privilege rather than a hardship.
At least, that's what I will be telling myself around mile 11. 😉
If you'd like to support Parkinson's UK, I would be hugely grateful for any donation.
