Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support.
A few years ago, my dad David, broke the news to us all that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease after a neurologist review. The news was extremely upsetting for everyone and we are all worried about what the future holds for Dad. Although our lives haven’t really changed, Dad’s has quite a bit as he’s now fixed in a routine of taking tablets to help slow down the symptoms Parkinson’s has.
Me and my brother have ran a number of times for Parkinson’s UK since his diagnosis. We’ve completed the Cardiff Half a few times and ran the Barcelona and Manchester marathons. After being successful in the ballot, ill be running the London Marathon in April 2027 for Parkinson’s UK.
