My story
Thursday 2nd JulIn 2027, I'll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of my grandad, who sadly passed away in 2014 after living with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
Watching him gradually deteriorate over the years was incredibly difficult, and seeing the impact these diseases had on him and on our family is something I'll never forget. My nan cared for him with unwavering love and dedication, and seeing everything she went through showed me just how devastating these conditions can be, not only for the person living with them, but for those who love and care for them.
By taking on this challenge, I hope to honour my grandad's memory while raising money to support vital research, care, and support services for people and families affected by Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
Training for 13.1 miles won't be easy, but it feels small compared to the challenges so many families face every day. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference and would mean the world to me.
Thank you so much for supporting me and helping keep my grandad's memory alive.
