TCS London Marathon Saturday 2027

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

On Saturday 27th April 2027, I’ll be taking on my biggest challenge yet—running the London Marathon! It’ll be my first ever marathon, and I’ll be running for Parkinson’s UK in memory of my grandad, who sadly passed away in December 2023 after living with Parkinson’s over for five years.

Watching someone you love gradually lose their independence is heartbreaking. My grandad was once the fastest runner in Cardiff County and always encouraged me to get involved in sport growing up. Seeing such an active, independent man affected by Parkinson’s was incredibly difficult, which is why this cause means so much to me. I know he would have been so proud to see me take on this challenge.

Every donation, big or small, will help Parkinson’s UK continue its vital work supporting people living with Parkinson’s and funding research into better treatments . Your support would mean a huge amount to me and my family <3>
